Says the desinger "This penthouse apartment contained no furniture at the beginning of our endeavour. The client required that the apartment be turned into a calming, warm abode. The kitchen/living room area was quite narrow so in order to make it appear wider I decided to use wallpaper with thick horizontal stripes that incorporated warm colours that breathed homeliness into the room. Although the colours used in this project needed to be warm ones it was important that they were also subtle and natural and to compliment this theme I used many natural products including: a hemp rug, a walnut coffee table, oak flooring and silk cushions."
